Burning Breath of Inner Sift
Isaiah 30:27-28 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Behold, the LORD comes with fire and a purifying breath, weighing vanity and cleansing the mind to set a straight path for those who awaken to His presence. It speaks of divine judgment and cleansing, not mere external events.
Neville's Inner Vision
Remember, the LORD coming from far is the inner name I claim as the I AM. It is not a distant king but the present awareness that judges and refines from within. The burning anger is the merciless clarity of truth that burns away every false image I have of myself. The tongue as a devouring fire is the spoken word of consciousness, ceaselessly exposing what I have accepted as real but is not. The breath as an overflowing stream is Spirit moving through my mind, reaching the midst of the neck and washing through every belief, sifting vanity from substance. As the sieve of vanity operates on the nations, so my own thoughts are sifted until only the real remains—love, trust, and aligned action. The bridle in the jaws is that moment of correction when I am tempted to err; it guides me, not punishes me. If I take this inward drama seriously, I discover that judgment is not imposed from without but arises as I awaken to I AM.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit in stillness, repeat I AM, and imagine the LORD’s burning breath entering your mind, purging vanity. Then revise one nagging belief and feel the new alignment as real.
