Biblical Context
The passage portrays God as patient and merciful toward those who seek Him, promising a future of joy in Zion where cries are answered.
Neville's Inner Vision
Notice that the LORD waits not to condemn you, but to be gracious; the whole scene is an invitation to your own consciousness. Zion and Jerusalem are not places on a map but states of awareness where sorrow dissolves as you awaken to the I AM. The 'God of judgment' is the recognition that judgment is the inner weighing of thoughts; as you choose to dwell in the truth that the I AM is gracious, you are blessed by waiting for Him, for you have already positioned yourself in the felt reality of your desire. When you cry, you are simply clarifying the inner address of your mind, and He answers by bringing your inner condition into alignment with your wish. You dwell in your Zion where grace is present now, and the voice that answers is the voice of your own imaginative act—the present response of your assumed state. The message is clear: be patient in inner conviction and you shall see the outer scene reflect your inner state.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: Sit quietly and assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled, as if you already dwell in Zion; repeat, 'I am the I AM, graciously answered now.' Then watch for your next inner events to reflect that assumed state.
