Inner Speech and Divine Alignment
Isaiah 3:8-9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 3 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jerusalem and Judah are ruined because their speech and deeds oppose the LORD. The outward witness reveals the inner state of the heart.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the present moment, the city of your own consciousness called Jerusalem stands ruined wherever your tongue has joined hands with fear and lack against the I AM. When you speak against the Lord, you are not casting a curse upon distant Jerusalem; you are testing the boundary of your own awareness and inviting the appearance of ruin into your life. The verse speaks of appearances that witness against you, of a countenance that testifies to an inner stance that pretends to hide its guilt. Yet this is not condemnation but a map. The fix is not to pretend innocence but to awaken to your central I AM, the ultimate speaker and doer. Assume that your words and deeds are already in accord with divine glory. See your tongue as a creative instrument that can be tuned toward truth, and your actions as the visible sign of an inner altar rebuilt toward holiness. When you catch yourself speaking in a way that denies your divine nature, revise it silently or aloud to bless, to heal, to unite. Feel it real now that the inner witness has corrected the script; the outer countenance will shift to reflect the new harmony of I AM.
Practice This Now
Assume I AM the ruler of my speech and life. In the next moment, revise a negative phrase into a blessing and feel it real as already true.
