Instant Deliverance in Imagination
Isaiah 29:5 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Plainly, it says that what seems threatening from outside will dissolve quickly, like dust and chaff, in an instant. The scene is a picture of inner transformation, not outer conquest.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider this verse as a portrait of your inner kingdom. The multitude of thy strangers is the multitude of unwelcome thoughts, the so-called enemies of lack, fear, and judgment that crowd your mind. They are not marching against you from a distant land; they exist as states of consciousness you have entertained. When you, the I AM, acknowledge your own unity, these hosts disperse as the dust of a shaken shelf: the many become nothing, and the terrible ones melt like chaff blown away by a sudden wind. The line yea, it shall be at an instant suddenly points to the moment your attention shifts from outer appearances to the invincible presence within. The world you call 'out there' responds to the inner decree you affirm. Your characteristic mood, your habitual belief that you are separate from God, is the shaping force. Change the decree, and the crowd dissolves; the day of doom collapses into a day of light. You are not redeeming a future; you are returning to the I AM that already is your life.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Assume you are already the I AM; close your eyes and feel the stillness within. Mentally declare 'I AM within me now dissolves all opposition,' and notice the sudden release.
