Quiet Strength, Real Peace Within
Isaiah 27:4-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 27 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The chapter declares that fury is not in me; through me, obstacles can be burned away and peace is made. Jacob’s line takes root and Israel blossoms, spreading fruit to the world.
Neville's Inner Vision
Fury is not in me points to a state of consciousness where anger is not my default reaction. The briers and thorns represent old habits and limiting beliefs; I pass through them not by fighting exterior foes but by aligning with the strength within. Let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me becomes an inner treaty: my higher Self, the I AM, takes hold of the energies of my lower self and persuades them to stand in peace. When this inner alignment occurs, conflict dissolves and the inner kingdom—Jacob taking root—begins to blossom. Israel then fills the face of the world with fruit as a visible sign of the inward harmony. This is a law of consciousness: your outer world reflects the state you entertain. So I stand now in the kingly posture, the I AM within me, drawing strength to make peace with myself, and inviting the outer fruit of that peace to appear in my life.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: Sit quiet, state in present tense, 'I am the I AM, taking hold of strength to make peace with myself.' Then visualize a path through thorny briars dissolving in light as roots of truth take hold in my inner Jacob and Israel, bringing fruit into my world.
