Biblical Context
Isaiah 27:1-6 portrays God defeating fierce powers and then guarding a vineyard, promising peace and growth for Israel as a sign of renewal. It points to an inner renewal—the covenant kept in sight and felt in daily life.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within this scripture, Leviathan and the dragon are not distant monsters but the stubborn habits and fears inside you. The sore and great sword the Lord wields is the directing energy of your awareness, cutting through old identification. The act of slaying becomes a transformation of your inner state: you choose to release the powers that have ruled you and recognize that fury is not in you, not in your essential I AM. 'I the LORD do keep it; I will water it every moment' becomes a daily assurance that your attention is continuously nourished by the I AM, watering your consciousness so nothing in you harms your life. The invitation 'Or let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me' invites you to yield the old grip and let divine power move you toward peace. 'He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root' signals a new root of your inner Israel, growing to blossom and bear fruit for the world. This is the awakening of the inner kingdom, where covenant care becomes your lived reality.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the I AM is keeping your inner vineyard. See Leviathan dissolving and Jacob's roots taking hold, and feel peace as your daily reality.
