Inner Remembrance of God

Isaiah 26:8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 26 in context

Scripture Focus

8Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O LORD, have we waited for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee.
Isaiah 26:8

Biblical Context

Isaiah 26:8 speaks of waiting for the LORD's judgments and the soul's desire to remember His name.

Neville's Inner Vision

To wait in the way of thy judgments is to stand within the law of your own consciousness, where each inward movement orders the world you see. The LORD is not distant; He is the I AM that you awaken with. When the verse says we have waited for thee, it is an invitation to assume the state in which God is already present as your governing principle. The desire of the soul to thy name and to the remembrance of thee becomes your working assumption: I am the remembrance of God, I am named by the I AM, and every thought now is the memory of His presence. In this state, judgments no longer feel like harsh verdicts but harmonies guiding your inner script. You do not chase outcomes; you revise your sense of self until your inner order matches the divine order. As you dwell in this remembered Name, your outer world—people, events, opportunities—must reflect that inner alignment. You are not waiting for God to act; you are becoming the living memory of God in action.

Practice This Now

Assume immediately that you are already in the state of the LORD's judgments; close your eyes, breathe, and affirm I am the remembrance of God within me until it feels true here and now.
