Dwelling in the Inner Resurrection
Isaiah 26:19-20 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 26 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage speaks of a coming revival for the dead and an invitation to shelter within, a transition from external dust to inner life protected by consciousness.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your scripture speaks of a resurrection not 'out there' but in the sanctuary of consciousness. The 'dead men' are the beliefs and identities you have thought were final; thy dead body is the old you as you identified with the separate self. When you align with your I AM—your present awareness—these dead things arise and take on new life, as if your inner weather shifts and the dust itself sings. Awake and sing, not to a future event, but to the memory that you are alive here and now, awakened by dew-like conviction that nourishes every feeling. The earth shall cast out the dead, meaning the subconscious processes release what you have clung to in fear. Come, my people, enter into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. This is inner discipline: withdraw from the outer drama and dwell in the certainty of I AM. Assume that the storm has passed, and feel the peace that follows as your consciousness remains unchanged.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, assume the feeling 'I am resurrected now,' and envision entering a quiet chamber of light; keep the doors closed to outside noise and breathe until your inner state remains steady.
