Biblical Context

Isaiah 26:12 declares that God will ordain peace for us, and that He has wrought all our works within us.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within Isaiah 26:12, God is not a distant decree but the I AM within you—the living source of any peace you know. Peace is not something to chase; it is the state already ordained by your inner awareness when you acknowledge that all your works are wrought in consciousness. Your daily life is an outward sign of the inner discipline of the mind. When you accept that the Lord has formed your works in you, you stop trying to fix effects and begin revising the cause. The practice is to assume the feeling of peace now, to dwell in the sense that the I AM has already arranged harmony in every moment. As you hold that assumption, the appearances rearrange themselves to match it. The inner state precedes the outward scene, and the sense of separation dissolves in the recognition that God’s presence is your own awareness. Peace and presence become one movement of the self, a natural fruit of the right assumption.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, place a hand on your heart, and declare, 'I am peace; the I AM has ordained my peace.' Sustain the feeling for a minute, then revise any anxious thought by returning to that present sense of harmony.
