Inner Righteousness Revealed

Isaiah 26:10-11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 26 in context

Scripture Focus

10Let favour be shewed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the LORD.
11LORD, when thy hand is lifted up, they will not see: but they shall see, and be ashamed for their envy at the people; yea, the fire of thine enemies shall devour them.
Isaiah 26:10-11

Biblical Context

Plainly, the verse says outward favors do not change a closed heart; the wicked act unjustly even where righteousness abounds and do not behold the LORD’s majesty. When the LORD’s hand is lifted, they will not see, but envy and inner fires reveal their state.

Neville's Inner Vision

Isaiah speaks not of distant peoples but of states of consciousness. The phrase Let favour be shewed to the wicked describes how a favorable circumstance may attend a mind still resistant to truth. Yet inner learning is blocked when one clings to separation; in the land of uprightness the ego acts unjustly because it does not know its source in the I AM. When the hand of the LORD is lifted—the awakening of the I AM within—the mind accustomed to isolation cannot perceive with its old sight, and envy will expose itself as inner conflict. The burning force described as the fire of enemies is the consuming energy of thoughts that deny your true nature. Your inner kingdom, once recognized as the I AM, reorganizes perception so that what was once unseen becomes known as the majesty of God within. Align with this truth and external conditions begin to reflect that inward light.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Sit quietly and declare, 'I AM the I AM; I am the righteousness of God now.' Revise any sense of lack by feeling that truth as real, and allow the inner sight of the LORD’s majesty to dawn in your mind.
