Inner Desolation, Inner Restoration
Isaiah 24:1-3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 24 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Isaiah 24:1-3 describes the earth becoming empty and turned upside down, affecting all levels of society; it culminates with the land being utterly spoiled as the Lord has spoken.
Neville's Inner Vision
Behold the world as a mirror of your soul. Isaiah 24:1-3 speaks of a land emptied and scattered, yet this is not a judgment from without, but a summons from within. When you feel everything go dry—the people, the priests, the masters and the brokers—it is your own mind telling you that your habitual identification with lack, fear, or separation has vacated its throne. The I AM within you, the eternal ruler, is simply asking you to revise the interior weather. Do not resist the desolation; welcome it as a clearing. In imagination, you return to the state in which you already possess what you seek. Announce to yourself, 'I am complete. This land now reflects wholeness.' As you dwell in that assumption, the outer scene will follow, shifting from barren scattering to a new abundance. Remember: you are not changing God’s plan; you are refusing to live in a lie about yourself. Your inner kingdom reorganizes your outward world when you believe it is so.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes. Assume the state of fullness now—feel it as real, not future—let that inner revision precede any outer sign.
