Inner Echo Of The Sea

Isaiah 23:4-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 23 in context

Scripture Focus

4Be thou ashamed, O Zidon: for the sea hath spoken, even the strength of the sea, saying, I travail not, nor bring forth children, neither do I nourish up young men, nor bring up virgins.
5As at the report concerning Egypt, so shall they be sorely pained at the report of Tyre.
6Pass ye over to Tarshish; howl, ye inhabitants of the isle.
Isaiah 23:4-6

Biblical Context

The sea delivers a message of judgment against Tyre and Zidon. It invites the people to move on to Tarshish and cry out to the islands.

Neville's Inner Vision

Imagine the sea as the outer world of your inner mood, speaking a verdict you once believed. When Isaiah calls the sea to witness Tyre’s reproach, he invites you to notice that the judgment you hear is a thought form in your own consciousness. The reproach is not against you as a person, but a pattern of limitation you have accepted as true. To 'pass over to Tarshish' is a shift of attention, a choice to view your life from a new vantage where you already possess what you seek. The islands are the far corners of your mind where old stories are kept alive; but you are the I AM, the awareness that can revise any scene. If you repeat a new report—'I am whole, I am free, I am one with the kingdom within'—you awaken the inner power that dissolves the old verdict. Judgment dissolves into memory, and the kingdom of God becomes your living state.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and listen for the inner sea's verdict. Then revise by boldly declaring, I AM the creator of this moment; feel the new state as already real and stand in it now.
