Inner Wealth Made Holy

Isaiah 23:17-18 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 23 in context

Scripture Focus

17And it shall come to pass after the end of seventy years, that the LORD will visit Tyre, and she shall turn to her hire, and shall commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth.
18And her merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to the LORD: it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before the LORD, to eat sufficiently, and for durable clothing.
Isaiah 23:17-18

Biblical Context

The passage speaks of a post-exile turning where Tyre’s wealth is redirected from hoarding to holy use.

Neville's Inner Vision

After the seventy years of outer disturbance, my inner Tyre—the mind’s commerce of desire—receives a visitation from the Lord of awareness. What was once an unceasing accumulation of hire and alliances with worldly powers is called back to the holy purpose of the I AM. The appetite for profit shifts from hoarding to consecration: merchandise and hire become holy offerings, not trophies. The riches of the world no longer stand as separate gods but as fuel for the inner temple: sustenance for the body that houses the mind, clothing for the weariness of a self seeking permanence in form. When my consciousness awakens to its unity, the ego’s alliances dissolve, and the outward market is redirected to those who dwell before the Lord within. The inner economy expands into generosity and sufficiency, so that what is earned serves the faithful in the immediate presence of God within.

Practice This Now

Assume: all I earn is holy to the Lord and freely circulated to those before Him. Feel it real: I sense a widening inner economy, abundance flowing to nourish all in need.
