Inner Tyre Seventy-Year Return

Isaiah 23:17 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 23 in context

Scripture Focus

17And it shall come to pass after the end of seventy years, that the LORD will visit Tyre, and she shall turn to her hire, and shall commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth.
Isaiah 23:17

Biblical Context

Plain sense: The verse speaks of a future time when Tyre's reliance on worldly alliances ends and a return to divine order begins. It signals judgment on idolatry and a turning toward the true Kingdom of God within.

Neville's Inner Vision

Tyre is not a city but a state of mind that trusts hire and worldly power for security. After a symbolic seventy years—the completion of a habitual pattern—the Lord, the I AM within, visits the mind and invites a turning away from that hire and from fornication with the kingdoms of the world. When you refuse to barter peace for an image of power, you awaken; the visit is awareness waking to itself, and the end of the old cycle is the ending belief that you are defined by possessions, status, or alliances. All kingdoms exist as projections of inner states; the remedy is to return to the only real currency—the presence of God in you—until you are renewed by that consciousness.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes, breathe, and assume the sensation of the I AM as your sole reality. Declare inwardly, 'I am God, and the world I see is my consciousness,' until the sense of separation dissolves.
