Nail In A Sure Place

Isaiah 22:23-25 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 22 in context

Scripture Focus

23And I will fasten him as a nail in a sure place; and he shall be for a glorious throne to his father's house.
24And they shall hang upon him all the glory of his father's house, the offspring and the issue, all vessels of small quantity, from the vessels of cups, even to all the vessels of flagons.
25In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, shall the nail that is fastened in the sure place be removed, and be cut down, and fall; and the burden that was upon it shall be cut off: for the LORD hath spoken it.
Isaiah 22:23-25

Biblical Context

A fixed, secure support is provided for royal authority, becoming a glorious throne for the house. Later, that fixed support is removed and the burden is cut off.

Neville's Inner Vision

See the nail as your fixed I AM, anchored in a sure place within your consciousness. The glorious throne arises not in a distant palace but in the inner authority you affirm when you say I am and I reign. The offspring and vessels are all the forms your inner state will quicken—cup and flagon, vessel and vessel-full—according to your awareness of self. When it seems the nail is removed, recognize this as an inner drama, not a change in the world. The invitation remains: keep the inner anchor, and the burden falls away as the inner light remains fixed. The kingdom of God is within, and the nail is your unwavering attention to that fact. So revise now: you are the nail fixed in a sure place; you are the glorious throne in your own house; the burdens are cut off by the very act of your fixed assurance.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and silently declare I am the nail fixed in a sure place. Feel the throne of inner authority settle within; when a burden arises, revise: the nail holds, the burden is cut off.
