Abolish Idols Within
Isaiah 2:18 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 2 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse proclaims that all idols will be utterly abolished. It points to a purification of worship beginning within, not in external images.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within the inner theater, idols are not carved images but beliefs about power, security, and salvation apart from the I AM. The verse speaks of a figure who abolishes them, which in truth is your own state of consciousness taking command. When you accept that the I AM is the source and ruler of life, the grip of those inner idols loosens until it dissolves. Idols stand for any image you have trusted as the source of life outside the One Substance. As you dwell in the awareness that you are the I AM, you release the need to prove yourself through status, possession, or ritual. The abolishing is a shift in your imagination, a rearrangement of your inner scene so that doubt, fear, or separation fall away, leaving worship pure: the recognition that God is within and everywhere, expressed as peace, clarity, and loving action. This is not denial but a revelation: the moment you claim consciousness as the only power, the idols vanish and true worship arises from within.
Practice This Now
Assume the state of the I AM now and declare: There are no idols; I am one with God. Feel it real by imagining the old images dissolving into light, leaving your inner temple filled with pure worship.
