Egypt's Inner Altar Awakening
Isaiah 19:18-22 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Egypt in this oracle becomes a land that turns to the LORD, setting up an altar and witness, and calling for a savior. Ultimately, the Lord heals them as they return to Him.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider Egypt as the mind, stubborn and dense, where many thoughts converge. In that day, five cities of your mind speak a new language—the language of Canaan, pledged to the LORD of Hosts—signs that a new order is taking root within. The altar in the midst and the pillar at the border are mental images, symbols that you erect when you refuse to worship fear and limitation, witness that you intend to know the truth. When you cry to the LORD because of oppressors—your old beliefs and doubts—the savior within awakens, a great one formed by your revised state of consciousness. The Lord’s name is known in Egypt as your awareness expands; offerings and vows are made not to a distant deity, but to the I AM that you are. You are drawn back to the Lord, and healing follows; the mind is purged of its wound, the impact of oppression dissolves, and the soul returns to the Lord. In this conversion, you discover that 'smite and heal' means clearing the old, confirming the new, and living as your awakened I AM.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Assume right now that the Lord is known in your mind. Build within your inner Egypt an altar and a pillar, and feel the vow you make to the LORD as if it already is.
