Isaiah 18:3-4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Verse 18:3-4 speaks of a signal lifted on the mountains and a divine trumpet, inviting all to listen. It then speaks of the LORD resting in His dwelling, like a warm, clear heat on herbs and dew in harvest.
Neville's Inner Vision
Observe that the signs are not out there somewhere, but within your own consciousness. The ensign lifted on the mountains is the decision of you as I AM, the awareness that you are chosen and guided. The trumpet is the inner call to move in harmony with that I AM, a sound you hear when you align your thoughts with divine presence. I will take my rest is not God stepping away, but your own inner quietness becoming the ruling state of your mind. The dwelling place becomes a felt atmosphere—like heat on herbs, bright and healing—while the dew in the harvest mirrors a gentle, sustaining influence that cools fear and awakens trust. When you dwell there, Providence isn’t distant; it moves as steady inner movement, guiding your steps without coercion. Practice: assume you are already under this guidance, mentally lift the sign, trigger the inner trumpet, and rest in the I AM knowing you are led now. Let your thoughts settle into that warm, dew washed certainty, and your outer events will reflect the inner alignment.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, imagine an inner ensign rising on a mountain, and hear the trumpet within. Then revise any doubt by dwelling in the I AM and feeling the quiet heat of guidance already at work.
