Mercy Establishes the Inner Throne
Isaiah 16:4-5 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 16 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Isaiah 16:4-5 speaks of sheltering the vulnerable and ending oppression. It says mercy will establish the throne, where truth and righteousness are enacted through just judgment.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within Isaiah 16:4-5 the outcasts are not cast away but welcomed, for the inner state makes room for every part of you. The Moab you behold outwardly stands for the vulnerable, the neglected parts of your being. By inviting them to dwell with you, you become covert to the face of the spoiler—fear that would oppress your peace. The extortioner and oppressor vanish not by force but by a shift of consciousness: mercy takes the throne. When mercy sits on the throne, truth and justice arise as natural movements within you. The "tabernacle of David" represents the living order of your I AM—the royal consciousness that governs your inner weather. You judge not with harshness, but you discern with clarity; you seek true judgment by aligning with the rightness already present in your being, and you hasten righteousness by acting from that inner decree. Sovereignty, in this view, is mastery of your inner state, not power over others, a harmony with the divine order within.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the attitude 'I am mercy.' Invite every neglected or fearful part of you to dwell with you, and feel the throne of mercy and truth established within your being now.
