Within you the I AM reigns. The kings you see in the nations are forms in your own mind, their glory a projection of your inner state. The Kingdom of God is not an out-there empire but the current attitude of consciousness you dwell in. When you witness rulers resting in their houses, recognize that this is your inner posture—a belief in separate centers of power reflected back to you as wealth, status, and authority. To reinterpret is to revise the scene so that your awareness rules, not the world. Rest in the realization that you are the ruler of your inner house, and that your inner crown releases provision and dignity into your life. The verse invites humility and gratitude for every aspect of life, because all are dignified expressions of the Imago Dei within you. Practice repeatedly the felt truth that you are already in your own throne-room, and that outer conditions will align with that royal state.
