Inner Babylon Dismantling
Isaiah 13:14-18 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 13 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
These lines describe a swift, devastating upheaval that drives people to flee to their own lands and leaves the city emptied and vulnerable. It portrays judgment that results in scattering, danger, and the need to return to the inner source of power.
Neville's Inner Vision
Behold the interior vision: the chased roe and the sheep that cannot be taken up symbolize your old identification with fear and separation. When you identify with fear, you scatter your sense of safety and seek refuge in external possessions, as if silver and gold could shield you. But the revelation is inward: the I AM—your steadfast awareness—stirs within and calls you back to your true land, the inner kingdom that hosts all power. The Medes, neither matter nor sword, represent a sharpened perception that pierces illusion and disarms the story of control. They do not regard wealth; by their light, illusions crumble, and the very arrows aimed at you become harmless when seen as images in consciousness. The brutal scenes fall away as you realize you are not at the mercy of a changing world but the author of every image. Exile is the moment when you wake to this fact; return is the choice to dwell in the indwelling I AM, where judgment becomes discernment and suffering yields to the promise of return.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and declare, I AM the ruler of this inner landscape. Revise fear by feeling that only I AM is real, and dwell in the sense of your inner kingdom awakening.
