Root Of Jesse Within You

Isaiah 11:10-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 11 in context

Scripture Focus

10And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.
11And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.
12And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.
Isaiah 11:10-12

Biblical Context

Isaiah 11:10-12 envisions a root of Jesse standing as a sign for all nations, drawing the Gentiles and gathering the dispersed of Israel into rest and unity. It speaks of a divine regathering that begins in consciousness and becomes visible in the world.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within you there is a root of Jesse—the I AM that stands as an ensign. When you turn your attention inward and assent to this sign, the Gentiles—the desires, fears, and opportunities of your life—seek you, drawn by the radiance of awareness you cultivate. The rest described as glorious is not a distant heaven but a present state you acquire by imagining from the end. The Lord’s hand gathering the remnant is your inner urge to unite every fragment of self—memory, habit, doubt, dream—into one kingdom of consciousness. From the four corners of your mind and the islands of your imagination, you are gathered into harmony, not by external events but by the consistency of your assumption. When you accept that the sign is already there in your I AM, the outer world begins to reflect this inner unity: people, circumstances, and opportunities align as a glorious rest you have already realized.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, declare, 'I am the root of Jesse; I rest in God now,' and feel that rest as your present reality. If doubt arises, revise by affirming, 'The remnant is gathered; all corners of my life are one in consciousness.'
