Remnant Trust in the LORD

Isaiah 10:20-21 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Isaiah 10 in context

Scripture Focus

20And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.
21The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God.
Isaiah 10:20-21

Biblical Context

The remnant turns away from the smiter and places its trust in the LORD, the Holy One of Israel. They return to the mighty God.

Neville's Inner Vision

The text speaks not to a people alone but to a state of consciousness. The remnant is the portion of you that no longer leans on outer power but rests in the awareness of the LORD within—the Holy One of Israel as the I AM that you are. To stay upon the LORD is to dwell in a fixed state of perception where imagination is trusted as the true power, and the smiter represents past beliefs of lack or attack. When you observe the inner movement toward trust, you are returning to the covenant loyalty between your awareness and its source. The remnant's return to the mighty God is the return of your attention to your own divine nature, the assertion that nothing can disrupt your peace but your awareness. In this light, the promises of protection and fidelity become present experiences in your inner life, not distant prophecies. Your life becomes the visible expression of an inner loyalty to the I AM, the steady presence that never abandons you.

Practice This Now

Assume the inner remnant now: you trust the LORD within; feel the LORD's presence as your power. Revise any thought of dependence on outward smiters by declaring I stay upon the LORD.
