Tow and Spark Within
Isaiah 1:31 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 1 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Strong powers and their maker burn together in an unquenchable blaze; the matter is internal, not external.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the inner theater of your mind, the strong are your fixed beliefs, the maker of it your imagination that fed them; when they are joined in one fire, they burn together and can’t be quenched by any external force. The moment you decide that this scene is being acted by your I AM, you shift your entire inner climate. The blaze reveals what you have given energy to in awareness; it exposes the habit of viewing yourself as separate from power or consequence. But when you align the two into a single creative act—when you acknowledge that you are both the burner and the burned, the knower and the known—the scene can no longer hold you prisoner. The 'burn' cleanses old patterns, not others. In that fusion, you discover that you were never at the mercy of others’ judgments, but at the mercy of a belief in separation. Persist in the realization that the I AM is the same presence behind every scene, and the fire becomes a gateway to a new, unshakable righteousness within.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: Sit for 5 minutes and assume the state, 'I AM THAT I AM—the strong and the maker are one flame within me.' Feel the burn rewrite itself as inner clarity; declare, 'I revise this scene by aware, loving attention, and it is so.'
