Heaven, Earth, and Inner You
Isaiah 1:2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Isaiah 1 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God addresses the heavens and the earth, declaring He has nourished and raised His children. Yet they have rebelled.
Neville's Inner Vision
Here the heavens and the earth are not distant witnesses but your own inner covering—the two poles of consciousness. The Lord’s speech is your inner recognition that you, as I AM, have nourished and shaped every thought, belief, and impulse until they seem to turn against you. Rebellion, in this light, is simply a shift of attention away from your true identity. Do not condemn; awaken. The I AM is the parent within who never abandons you, and by assuming the state of nourisher, you reclaim authority over your inner world. When you imagine yourself as the one who fed and raised these inner children—your ideas and habits—and gently revise them with love, the rebel motions lose their charge and obedience returns. Your present experience of life mirrors your inner alignment: you hear and respond from the level of awareness that you are, not from outer circumstance. The call to hear is a call to remember you are the I AM, the source and governor of all inner life.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and, in that quiet, assume the I AM as the nourisher of all inner states; revise rebellious thoughts with a loving, authoritative inner decree until they resolve into faith.
