Inner Covenant Reckoning
Hosea 9:15-16 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Hosea 9 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage says their wickedness is centered in Gilgal, God hates that conduct, and will drive them from his house; their rulers are rebels, and Ephraim’s root is dried up—no true fruit, even the beloved fruit of their womb will be slain.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the inner sense, Hosea exposes a state of consciousness where ritual appearances (Gilgal) mask a deeper disloyalty to the Life that I AM. The hate spoken is not condemnation of the person but a warning that clinging to outward acts while denying inward loyalty yields a decayed root—no genuine fruit in life. Exile from God’s house is the mind’s belief in separation from Presence; even beloved outcomes wither when fear or contradiction rules the inner field. Yet this decree awakens a possibility: recognize the rebel thoughts as not your essence but weathered patterns passing through awareness. Return is your re-identification with I AM, the Presence that never leaves, and with it, your capacity to bear true fruit again. By choosing to align every thought, feeling, and act with the indivisible Life within, you transform the inner landscape from judgment and decay into covenant loyalty and vibrant expression.
Practice This Now
Practice: In the next moment, assume 'I AM' as the sole Presence governing my life. Feel the release as you revise the sense of distance from God, and breathe in the assurance that true fruit comes from inner unity with Presence.
