Glory Fades, Presence Restored

Hosea 9:11-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Hosea 9 in context

Scripture Focus

11As for Ephraim, their glory shall fly away like a bird, from the birth, and from the womb, and from the conception.
12Though they bring up their children, yet will I bereave them, that there shall not be a man left: yea, woe also to them when I depart from them!
Hosea 9:11-12

Biblical Context

Hosea 9:11-12 declares that Ephraim's glory departs from birth and womb, and that bereavement follows when God departs, even amid child-rearing.

Neville's Inner Vision

The verse does not speak of a distant fate but of the inner life of consciousness. Ephraim's glory is a state of awareness that has forgotten its center. When the I AM forgets itself, glory flies away like a bird—evaporated from birth, womb, and conception because the mind clings to separation and lack. The warning of bereavement and departure mirrors any moment you identify with a thought that you are apart from God. Yet within you the I AM remains intact; your true offspring are the fruits of awakened awareness, not literal children. Hosea's prophecy becomes a practical invitation: revalue the sense of self as the living God; revise the moment of departure as a mere shift in consciousness. The presence that leaves can be welcomed back by choosing to feel the I AM here and now, confirming you are one with divine life, allowing your inner world to replenish with fullness once more.

Practice This Now

Sit quiet, declare 'I AM' as your living reality, and feel that presence filling the room. Then revise any sense of departure by affirming 'God is here, now; there is no exodus in my consciousness.'
