Inner Worship and Return to Egypt

Biblical Context
Hosea 8:13 shows that offerings done in form while neglecting inner obedience are not accepted; bondage comes from clinging to old patterns, leading back to Egypt.
Neville's Inner Vision
Remember, the Scriptures speak not of distant lands but of the states of your own mind. When Hosea says they sacrifice flesh for the offerings of mine offerings and eat it, yet the LORD does not accept, he is describing a man who performs rites while refusing the inward surrender that makes them 'acceptable' to God within. The "LORD" is your own I AM—the awareness that is always present. They remember iniquity and visit their sins: thus they cling to yesterday's consciousness; they imagine themselves in bondage, returning to Egypt, the old habit-patterns of fear, need, and separation. The remedy is not to abandon ritual but to awaken the inner rite: genuine worship is obedience to the truth you feel as alive now. When you revise your sense of self to align with the state you seek, the outward action becomes an expression of an already realized I AM, not a desperate attempt to win favor. The moment you accept the inner reality, you are free from exile; Egypt dissolves in your imagination as you inhabit your true kingdom.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the state you desire; feel it real as if it already is. Revise any sense of lack by declaring 'I AM that I AM' and letting that inner worship redefine your actions.
