Inner Covenant of Hosea 8
Hosea 8:1-14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God sounds a trumpet over Israel's breach of covenant, showing hollow worship, idol-making, and political self-rule. The outward forms collapse as they forget their Maker, inviting exile and ruin.
Neville's Inner Vision
Imagine Hosea's trumpet as the awakening of your own I AM awareness. When the people cry, 'My God, we know thee,' realize you too have voiced such vows with the outward mind while the inner life clings to surface memories. The transgression of the covenant is not punishment but a misalignment of consciousness—beliefs that you have set up as rulers and images you worship in place of the one true I AM. The calf of Samaria is the false self you fashion from silver, gold, and clever security; it cannot stand before the inner fire of truth, and so it will be broken when you insist on seeing through it. Wind-sown thoughts yield whirlwind emotions; your sense of exile and being a vessel devoid of pleasure mirrors your inner sense of separation from God. Remember: the law is not a list of petty duties but the living principle inscribed in your heart; when you forget your Maker you build temples to nothing. The remedy is to turn within and revisit the covenant with your true I AM, and let the old idols dissolve as you awaken to your real, indivisible unity.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Close your eyes and feel the covenant as already real; declare, I AM; I am thy maker; envision the idol dissolving and your inner temple restored.
