The Dove Without Heart Within
Hosea 7:11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Hosea 7 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Ephraim is like a silly dove without heart, crying out for foreign aid. The text condemns turning to worldly powers instead of trusting the inner I AM.
Neville's Inner Vision
Viewed through the inner eye, Hosea reveals a state of consciousness that trembles for security and looks outward for solutions. Ephraim’s appeal to Egypt and passage to Assyria are not geopolitical plans but inner tactics of fear—a dove flitting from one external alliance to another, convinced that power lies beyond awareness. In Neville’s terms, the dove has forgotten the I AM, the steadfast awareness that is always present. The I AM is not a distant ally but the very center of perception; whenever you run to Egypt or Assyria, you are simply agreeing with the belief that you are separate from the whole. The remedy is not to renounce action but to revise the assumption: I am the I AM, I have all power within my own consciousness, and every apparent external circumstance is a projection to be reinterpreted. When you feel the impulse to run outside, delay, breathe, and feel the presence of the One, and imagine that the world bows to the sovereignty of your awareness. Then external conditions align to reflect your inner trust.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and revise the impulse to seek Egypt or Assyria; feel the I AM as your constant security and softly affirm, I AM within me now, and all conditions respond to that inner truth.
