The Light-Words Within

Hosea 6:5 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Hosea 6 in context

Scripture Focus

5Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and thy judgments are as the light that goeth forth.
Hosea 6:5

Biblical Context

God speaks through the prophets to awaken and correct. His judgments come forth as light that reveals the truth of your inner state.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within you the same claim holds: the I AM speaks through inner prophetic voices, and the 'words of my mouth' are the creative utterances that cut away old habits and misbeliefs. When you hear a stern inner note—'return to truth, give up lack'—that is the cut of the prophets. The 'slaying' is not violence but release: as you align with the implied state, the old you falls away, the old script no longer constrains you. 'Judgments are as the light that goeth forth' means every judgment you hold reveals or disperses what you believe about yourself. The light exposes your current sense of absence, fear, or limitation, and by consciousness you choose to accept a new version. Your task is to dwell in the assumption that the state you desire is already present; let that conviction move the inner light, and your external conditions follow without struggle. The inner hearing of the word becomes the body you inhabit; the world around you is but a reflection of your inner decree.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly and proclaim, 'I AM the light by which my life is reformed.' Then imagine the light of that word exposing and dissolving the old lack, feeling the new state as already real.
