Hosea 6:1-3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Hosea 6 in context

Scripture Focus

1Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
2After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.
3Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.
Hosea 6:1-3

Biblical Context

The passage invites a return to the LORD; distress is followed by healing and binding up, with revival and life lived in God’s presence.

Neville's Inner Vision

Let us reinterpret the words as the inner movements of consciousness. When the verse says come, and let us return unto the LORD, it is the I AM turning back to itself, the awareness returning to its own stream. The tearing and smiting are not external events; they are felt separations within your mind, the moment you forget who you are. Yet the promise remains: He will heal us, He will bind us up. The two days are the seasons of drift, two rounds of weary thought, two opportunities to believe in lack or loss. On the third day, revival comes—a new life arising from awakened imagination, a state in which you live in his sight, which means under the ever-present awareness that you are whole. Their going forth is the morning light; the going forth of God is renewal arriving like rain—unexpected, refreshing, and nourishing the earth of your being. If you persist in knowing, you will awaken to this reality.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, assume you are already healed and restored by the LORD within. Repeat silently, 'I am restored in the I AM,' and feel the morning light of awareness flood your being.
