The Lion Within Hosea 5:14

Hosea 5:14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Hosea 5 in context

Scripture Focus

14For I will be unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, even I, will tear and go away; I will take away, and none shall rescue him.
Hosea 5:14

Biblical Context

Verse 5:14 presents God acting as a lion toward Ephraim and Judah, tearing away what sustains them and leaving them without rescue from external powers. It speaks of judgment and exile, yet points toward a future return guided by inner sovereignty.

Neville's Inner Vision

Here Hosea does not threaten an external army; you are the Ephraim and Judah. The lion is the rising I AM, your inner sovereignty suddenly waking to expose what must be dishonored and removed. When I say I will tear and go away, it is not God abandoning you but the withdrawal of every identification that keeps you enslaved to fear, lack, or old loyalties. The exile is the purging of thoughts that bind you to a merely horizontal kingdom; the return is your awareness re-possessing the throne, the kingdom of God within. The I AM, the lion that roars within, does not punish you but awakens you to reclaim power you have always possessed. The moment you accept that you are the projection and the projector—your consciousness tearing away what is false—restoration is inevitable. Remember: 'none shall rescue him' means the only savior is your own reconditioned state. So, invite the lion to do its work in you, and yield to the shift of consciousness that brings you home to the promised land of peace and authority.

Practice This Now

Stand in your daily routine, and imagine the I AM as a lion within your chest roaring away fear and old identities. Then feel sovereignty returning to your inner throne, as the kingdom of God is established in you.
