Inner Judgment of Israel Within
Hosea 5:1-5 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Hosea 5 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage warns priests, Israel, and the king that judgment is coming because their actions have trapped and defiled the nation. Their rebellion and pride point to a deeper collective turning that has not yet returned to God, signaling a need for repentance.
Neville's Inner Vision
In this inner reading, Hosea’s figures reveal states of mind rather than external people. Judgment toward you is the inner correction that arises when a consciousness pretends to be separate from God. The snare at Mizpah and the net at Tabor are the ego’s devices that keep the mind entangled in images and loyalties of the world. I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me—so the truth is not hidden by outer labels; it is revealed in the inward condition. When you commit 'whoredom' with idols, you resist the LORD within; the spirit of whoredoms is a habit of mind that will not turn toward the Source. The pride of Israel testifies to your face because you still identify with form rather than the I AM within. Yet the law remains: turn unto your God. If you awaken to the inner LORD, outer judgments dissolve as your life aligns with a revised consciousness that knows oneness.
Practice This Now
Assume the state of the I AM right now; revise the belief 'I am one with God' and feel it real for a few minutes, letting go of external idols. Then observe your thoughts and let them align with this inner truth, watching your life reflect the shift.
