Awakening Inner Priesthood
Hosea 4:4-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Hosea 4 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
These verses warn against fighting with spiritual leaders and against neglecting true knowledge. When the people forget God's law, judgment comes and their leadership falters.
Neville's Inner Vision
Listen: Hosea is speaking to your own consciousness. 'My people' are the states of awareness you harbor that have forgotten the law of God within. The quarrel with the priest, the prophet you imagine, is a quarrel with your own sense of separation from the I AM. When you resist that inner authority, you divide day from night in your mind, and your authority collapses. You are not destroyed by external punishment, but by your neglect of knowledge—the living awareness you are. The moment you accept that knowledge as your present power, you become the priest to your God again. The law is not a distant command but the steady order of your own heart. Recall is not memory but a turning of your whole being toward the truth that you are the I AM, here and now. If you persist in the state of separation, you will forget your children—the symbols of what you could create when you stand in unity with the divine within. Reclaim that oneness by assuming the state of knowing, and let the inner order govern your life.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the state 'I am the priest of the living law within.' Feel your awareness as the constant presence and revise any sense of separation by affirming 'I am one with God right now' for a full minute.
