Inner Covenant of Truth
Hosea 4:2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Hosea 4:2 lists sins such as swearing, lying, killing, stealing, and adultery that break covenant. The verse suggests these inner dispositions lead to outward bloodshed and broken community.
Neville's Inner Vision
From the Neville lens, the sins are not mere actions but states of consciousness: swearing as an oath of lack, lying as denial of unity with life, killing as the inner death of empathy, stealing as the theft of vitality from life or others, and adultery as misplacing loyalties away from truth. When these inner patterns are entertained, covenant with the higher Self is broken and a ripple of 'blood touching blood' follows—consequences echoing the inner disturbance. The remedy is a shift in consciousness: you are the I AM, the awareness that creates. Return to truth by imagining yourself already in harmony, speaking and acting with integrity, and cultivating compassionate perception of others. As you dwell in this renewed state, the outer world will bend toward that inward order, reflecting the covenant you renew within.
Practice This Now
Assume the feeling of the I AM, one with all life; today, revise a recent impulsive thought by silently affirming, 'I choose truth and compassion, and I am in right relation now.'
