Hosea Inner Hunger and Idolatry
Hosea 4:10-11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Hosea 4 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
These verses warn of spiritual and moral emptiness that follows turning away from the LORD. Indulgence and idolatry fail to satisfy, draining the heart.
Neville's Inner Vision
From the inner vantage point, Hosea 4:10-11 is not a decree against food or drink but a map of your inner state. When you turn from the I AM toward the thunders of appetite, you separate your attention from the source of life, and life itself appears to fray. The eating that cannot fill is the soul lamenting a heart that has forgotten its true allegiance. Whoredom and wine are symbols for the misdirections of desire, the mind chasing sensation while neglecting the LORD, the still small voice within. Yet the moment you realize that this is a state of consciousness, you can revise it. Know that the I AM is always present as you, and the moment you return your attention to that presence, fullness returns. Your external lack is a pointer, inviting you to rejoin your own devotion, to re-educate the heart toward gratitude and loyalty. Do not argue with the world; instead assume the state of the devoted self and watch the appearances realign.
Practice This Now
Assume the state: I am one with the LORD within me. Feel that fullness now, and rest your heart in gratitude until the sense of lack dissolves.
