Inner Covenant of Fidelity

Hosea 3:2-3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Hosea 3 in context

Scripture Focus

2So I bought her to me for fifteen pieces of silver, and for an homer of barley, and an half homer of barley:
3And I said unto her, Thou shalt abide for me many days; thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be for another man: so will I also be for thee.
Hosea 3:2-3

Biblical Context

God buys back His beloved and binds her to a period of exclusive devotion; the covenant promises loyalty and a reciprocal fidelity.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within Hosea 3:2-3 the buyer is your own I AM, the seat of awareness. The fifteen pieces of silver and the homer and half homer of barley signify the price you willingly place in consciousness to claim a new state. The command 'Thou shalt abide for me many days' points to a period of rest in the new state, a letting of old identities fade while you dwell in the truth of the new order. The verse does not speak of outside change first; it speaks of an inner covenant where I will be for thee mirrors the fidelity you affirm toward your own being. When you assume the feeling of the fulfilled state and treat it as already true, the entire field of your experience rearranges to reflect that loyalty. The harlot or other man are merely distractions of old consciousness; you choose to remain with the I AM, the only true partner. This is the redemption transaction: not payment for property, but the renewal of yourself by a voluntary covenant inside your mind.

Practice This Now

Practice: Close your eyes and imagine you are the buyer of your desired state; pay the price in consciousness and then declare, I will abide in this state for many days and no other.
