Provision Flows From Within

Hosea 2:8-9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Hosea 2 in context

Scripture Focus

8For she did not know that I gave her corn, and wine, and oil, and multiplied her silver and gold, which they prepared for Baal.
9Therefore will I return, and take away my corn in the time thereof, and my wine in the season thereof, and will recover my wool and my flax given to cover her nakedness.
Hosea 2:8-9

Biblical Context

Hosea 2:8-9 reveals God provided corn, wine, oil, and wealth. But the people did not know the source and turned to Baal, inviting a withdrawal of those blessings.

Neville's Inner Vision

Let Hosea be spoken to your inner state. The corn, wine, and oil, the silver and gold—these are not merely external goods but the nourishment, joy, energy, and expression of your consciousness. When you call them by the name of Baal, you give your gifts to an idol and forget the giver, your inner I AM. Then the inner economy shifts and your supply withdraws in time and season, not as punishment but as a correction to your memory. The removal is not a denial of life but a invitation to awaken to the true source within. If you insist that externals provide your security, you will experience loss; if you surrender to the I AM as the sole donor, you will find the undecided needs already met. The state you inhabit determines the visible world: gratitude and awareness of God as I AM draw abundance back, while denial and misattribution wither it away. Renounce Baal as a tool and reclaim the awareness of the inner monarch who commands all blessing.

Practice This Now

Assume the I AM is the sole source of all nourishment and wealth. Revise the belief that external power provides for you; feel it real by saying, 'I am the source of every blessing' and let gratitude flood your chest.
