Exalting the Inner I AM

Hosea 11:7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Hosea 11 in context

Scripture Focus

7And my people are bent to backsliding from me: though they called them to the most High, none at all would exalt him.
Hosea 11:7

Biblical Context

The verse depicts a people bent on turning away from God, even while they call on the Most High, and fail to exalt Him in their hearts.

Neville's Inner Vision

Backsliding, in this light, is a habit of the mind—an inner drift away from the recognition that the I AM is your immediate, living standing. Hosea’s cry that the people call to the Most High without exalting Him is a portrait of you when you forget who you are. The Most High is not a distance; it is the ever-present awareness within you. When you feel drawn into old fears, limitations, or old sins, do not condemn yourself; simply revise your state. Assume that you are exalted here and now, that the I AM is enthroned in your heart and thoughts. Feel the royal presence as your actual experience, and refuse the old script. As you hold this feeling, the external pattern loosens its grip, and you discover the truth: the inner kingdom is already established; you merely forgot to inhabit it. Your work, then, is voluntary alignment—awakening to the consciousness of exaltation, and watching as life rearranges itself to reflect that certainty.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and, for a moment, treat the inner temple as occupied by the Most High. Repeat quietly, I am exalted now; feel the I AM rising in your chest and thoughts, and hold it.
