Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Samaria's king is cut off, like foam riding the water's surface. This image shows the transience of outward power and the permanence of the inner state.
Neville's Inner Vision
To Neville, Hosea 10:7 speaks of the shifting ground of consciousness. Samaria's king—an outward image of power—dissolves like foam on water. When you mistake that foam for reality, you live by appearances and your sense of self shifts with every tide of fortune. But the moment you awaken to the I AM within as the true king, the foam vanishes and the inner kingdom remains intact. The whole law operates through states of consciousness: you become your most persistent assumption. So you do not fight the foam; you replace the belief that the king is outside you with the realization that you are the one who imagines the king. Assume the kingly state now: declare I AM the ruler of all that concerns you; feel that certainty as real, as if your life were governed by a single, unwavering awareness. Persist, and observe the outer world rearrange to reflect this inner sovereign; the foam dries, and the kingdom within stands.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, assume the I AM as the inner king now, and feel that certainty reign in your chest. Rest there for a few minutes, letting the external foam fade from your awareness.
