Scripture Focus

Hebrews 9:28

Biblical Context

Hebrews 9:28 says Christ was offered to bear the sins of many, and those who await him will see him come again, bringing salvation.

Neville's Inner Vision

To the spiritual ear, Hebrews is not a history lesson but a translation of states. 'Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many' speaks of the one I AM bearing every mistaken sense of separation within the self. The 'many' are the many facets of consciousness that cling to guilt. When you 'look for him'—when you attend to the inner signal of his presence—you will find him returning as your awareness, but now 'without sin' because you no longer identify with a past of condemnation. The second coming is not a future event stamped on time; it is the awakening of the mind to its own divinity, the moment you realize salvation is the state of consciousness in which sin is dissolved by the vivid realization of I Am, here and now. Salvation is harmony, integration, peace, not external rituals. You are asked to dwell in the occurrence of Christ within and thereby recover your original wholeness.

Practice This Now

Assume the state of salvation now; revise the sense of sin by declaring 'I am that I AM, and I stand in sinless awareness.' Then feel it-real by dwelling in the inner presence as the second coming manifests in your life today.
