Purified Conscience, Living God
Hebrews 9:13-14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse contrasts the old ritual cleansing with a deeper inner purification: Christ, through the Spirit, purges the conscience from dead works so you can live in service to the living God.
Neville's Inner Vision
Beloved, linger with this truth: the letter speaks of old sacrifices, yet the deeper reality is an inner cleansing already at work in you. The blood of bulls and goats sanctified the flesh; the blood of Christ, by the eternal Spirit, cleanses the conscience because the Spirit is the living I AM within you. When you interpret 'purge your conscience from dead works' you are asked to shift your inner state, not perform another ritual. Dead works are ideas and habits born of fear, separation, and striving; living works arise when you acknowledge you are one with God, the I AM that never wavers. The 'without spot' offering is your awakening to that spotless presence, a decision to quit pretending to be sinner and to rest in the perception of your God-given wholeness. Thus, the verse invites you to cease serving the illusion of the flesh and to serve the living God from the conscious reality of your true nature.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Close your eyes and, in the space of your attention, affirm 'I am purified by the living I AM.' Feel the inner energy stream through you, washing away dead thoughts, and decide to act from unity with God.
