Biblical Context
Hebrews 9:1-5 describes an outer sanctuary with earthly furnishings and a second, inner chamber—the Holiest of All—behind a veil. It lists the sacred contents—ark, manna, rod that budded—emphasizing the inner covenant presence.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within you there are two tabernacles, and the first is the outward scene of your days—the letters, rituals, and appearances that seem to define reality. This is the worldly sanctuary, a state of consciousness that looks outside for proof. But behind the veil stands the Holiest of All, the inner sanctuary where the I AM resides—your uninterrupted awareness. The ark of the covenant holds the covenant with God: your inner agreement that you are already complete. The manna pot speaks of sustaining ideas that come from within; the rod that budded signals growth when you affirm new possibilities. When you revise your sense of self to dwell in that inner chamber, you do not abandon the outer; you simply let the inner reality govern what you experience. Imagination creates reality; therefore, assuming the feeling of the already-there Holiest is not fantasy but recognition, and worship becomes a living acknowledgment of your true state.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Close your eyes, breathe, and assume the Holiest of All is already within you—feel it-real as your constant awareness, then move through your day from that inner throne.
