Biblical Context
Hebrews 9:1-28 contrasts an earthly sanctuary and priesthood with a higher, heavenly reality. Christ's sacrifice provides eternal redemption and purifies the conscience.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your mind has called the sanctuary a building of ritual, but the real temple is your consciousness. The high priest steps not into a constructed house but into the heaven of awareness where the eternal Spirit operates. By that Spirit he offers himself; by that same Spirit you are purged from dead works and invited to live from the living God. The old pattern—meats, drinks, washings, and carnal ordinances—served as a signpost until the time of reformation. Now the signpost points inward: you are the believer who enters the Holiest of All by the realization of the I AM within. The blood that purifies is the recognition of your unity with God; the inheritance is eternal because it is your present state of consciousness. When you awaken to this, you do not seek salvation far off—you dwell in salvation as your true nature, here and now, and your outer life aligns with the inner royal sanctuary.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Assume you are already in the Holiest of All this moment; revise any sense of separation by affirming 'I am the I AM' and feel the purification as a lived, present reality. Sit with that sense until it fills your being.
