Biblical Context
Abraham gave a tenth to Melchizedek; Levi, though descended from Abraham, pays tithes; the text says the less is blessed by the better, and the one who blesses is alive.
Neville's Inner Vision
View this as an inner economy. Abraham is your higher perception, Melchizedek the Christ within, and Levi the residual memory of old states in your mind. When Abraham gives tithes to Melchizedek, you are invited to return a portion of your 'spoils'—your fears, doubts, and circumstances—to the higher Self. The act is not about outward money but about recognizing that your abundance comes from acknowledging a greater Reality within. The clause that Levi, still in Abraham, paid tithes in Abraham teaches that even future states are contained in your present act of devotion. The cry that the less is blessed by the better proclaims that blessing flows from your higher self into your current life; the one who blesses is alive, not a mere memory. Therefore, your living awareness, not external condition, fashions what you call wealth and provision. By aligning with the higher order, you empower your mind to become a fit receiver of the blessings already existing in consciousness.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: In a quiet moment, assume the I AM presence as the higher Self and picture Melchizedek lifting your concerns like spoils, receiving a tenth of your current burdens. Then feel the blessing flowing into you, as your consciousness declares, 'I am blessed now'.
