Perfection Beyond the Law
Hebrews 7:11-19 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage argues that perfection cannot be achieved by the Levitical law; a higher priesthood after the order of Melchizedek signals a shift to an inward power that draws us near to God.
Neville's Inner Vision
Think of the discontinuity not as a historical change, but as a shift in your own consciousness. The author calls the change in priesthood to remind you that a carnal, external system cannot complete you; the life that completes you is timeless, endless, and resident in your I AM. When you say, mentally, I am a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek, you are naming a state of awareness that does not depend on lineage or ritual. This Melchizedek power is not a person outside you but a principle—an endless life that refuses the limits of the old law. By that recognition the old commandment loses its grip; its weakness is that it presumes you are separate from God. The new faith is a better hope: you can draw near now by identifying with the living presence within. As you dwell in that inner reality, the perception of lack or distance falls away and you experience harmony, wholeness, and immediate contact with the Divine.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, breathe, and declare: I am the priest of the living God within me; I am already in God’s presence. Revise any sense of distance by feeling the endless life rising in you.
