Biblical Context
Hebrews 6:19 calls hope an anchor for the soul, solid and secure. It reaches into the inner sanctuary, behind the veil.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider that the 'hope' Hebrews speaks of is a state of consciousness you actively assume. It is an inner anchor, not a thing outside you, and it remains sure and steadfast when you dwell in the I AM, the eternal presence. The phrase 'entereth into that within the veil' you can read as your awareness crossing the boundary of surface thought and entering the sanctuary of God within. When you imagine from that level, you are practicing the act that makes it real: you feel the stability already achieved, you assent to it, and you let the feeling of certainty lead your further thoughts. Imagination creates reality; by imagining the desired condition as already true, you pull the anchor through the veil into your current experience. The anchor holds you through the tempests of doubt because it is anchored in the I AM. Thus hope is not merely a future hope but a present power, enabling perseverance and presence of God in daily life.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly, assume the feeling of being anchored in the I AM. Repeat, 'I am anchored in the eternal now,' then imagine the anchor extending into a bright inner sanctuary behind a veil, feeling the certainty as present.
