Two Immutable Promises Within

Hebrews 6:17-18 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Hebrews 6 in context

Scripture Focus

17Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
18That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
Hebrews 6:17-18

Biblical Context

God's unchanging plan is sworn to us, providing two unshakable assurances that grant strong consolation when we seek refuge in the promise.

Neville's Inner Vision

Consider Hebrews 6:17–18 as a map of your inner life. The immutability of God's counsel is the unshakable steadiness of your I AM. The oath is not a distant contract but a decision you make within, a binding conviction that the wish is already true and cannot be undone by doubt. The two immutable things are the two anchors you dwell upon: the I AM that cannot lie, and the promise you choose to inhabit as present fact. Since God cannot lie, your assumption cannot fail when you hold it in feeling. The refuge you seek is the inner sanctuary where this conviction reigns; from this retreat, you lay hold on the set-before-you hope, not as a future event but as a present lived state. Your life shifts to align with that interior fidelity, bringing consolation and outward form into harmony.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the feeling that the promise is already true; repeat, 'I am the I AM, and this promise is mine now,' until the sense of it is natural and lingering.
