Immutable Promises Within

Hebrews 6:16-18 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Hebrews 6 in context

Scripture Focus

16For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.
17Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
18That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
Hebrews 6:16-18

Biblical Context

Men swear by greater to end disputes, but God confirms His unchangeable plan with an oath. Two immutable things ensure strong consolation for those who seek refuge in the hope set before them.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within you, the two immutable things are the fixed realities of your own consciousness—the I AM, the awareness you are, and the unlieable promise God has spoken. The heirs of promise, as the text says, have fled for refuge to lay hold on the hope set before them; so do you, by turning from doubt to the inner witness. Oaths among men end quarrel by declaring a fixed outcome; in your inner life, the oath of God fixes the outcome of your life by assuring that His counsel cannot lie. When you imagine that your desire is already yours and feel that truth now, you are aligning with the end from which the world must unfold. Rest in this certainty, and the space between your inner state and outer events closes. The strong consolation you seek is the felt experience of your I AM declaring, 'Yes, this is mine.'

Practice This Now

Assume the state of the fulfilled desire now and feel it real. Sit in stillness and declare, 'I am the I AM; this promise is mine now.'
